How we got started
About The Founders
Juan and Jenna began attending and volunteering at Real Life Church and got involved in serving the community. One day a pastor came and began speaking about a new ministry called Celebrate Recovery. Because of Jenna’s background, she began attending and asked (dragged) Juan into coming with her, through their recovery journeys they each found healing from past hurts, habits and hang-ups and strengthened their relationship with Jesus. After three years, of serving, leading and helping others with their recovery journeys, Juan was ordained as a pastor (ask him about that story!).
The Palomino’s then moved their family to Fresno, CA to help launch a new celebrate Recovery ministry at Crosscity Church and after 14 months they were called back to Real Life Church in Santa Clarita to help relaunch their former Celebrate Recovery. Then, 18 months after reproducing another leader, Juan became the Campus Pastor for the Canyon Country location for Real Life Church. He led that campus for 13 months and felt God calling him to start a church in Palmdale, CA. Jenna was born and raised in Palmdale, and Juan lived in Palmdale for many years and visited often. So, after prayer, wise counsel, and getting affirmed through www.stadiachurchplanting.org they moved back to Palmdale with a heart to rebuild social influence by loving and serving their community for spiritual impact. Juan and Jenna want to shine the light and love of Jesus in Antelope Valley by connecting people to Jesus, through authentic relationships to serve their communities.
The Well Kids
Give To The Well
kicks for kids:
We are extremely excited to announce our annual shoe drive event called, Kicks 4 Kids.
The past two years we have made a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of kids in our community by giving them a brand new pair of shoes before school starts, this year is August 5, 2021.
Due to the pandemic, our local community (East Palmdale) has suffered great loss. Some of the parents have lost their jobs, some have had to close their small businesses, others have lost their lives due to the corona virus or a drug addiction.
These great losses adversely affect the children that live in our community. Some of them are currently going to school with last year’s worn out shoes. Other kids are sent home because they show up to school in sandals. The school safety policy requires all students to wear closed toe shoes.
There are stories of students not attending school because they have to share shoes with their siblings. As you can imagine this further impacts the students attendance, learning, and confidence from participating in sports because of their shoes.
This is why we have set a goal to raise $50,000 to give away 1000 new pair of shoes to kids before they go back to school this Fall.
